is critical to the success of a data conversion. If proper data validation is not performed while attempting to
load data into PeopleSoft's HRMS application, the successful and timely deployment of the application is at severe
risk. From experience, the probability of success without data validation is near zero. <BR>

Thus, the biggest challenge experienced by all PeopleSoft data conversion teams is understanding and building the
data validation rules for data fields in hundreds of tables found in PeopleSoft's HRMS application within a very
short timeframe. Unless the data conversion team has access to significant expertise regarding PeopleSoft's HRMS
data validation rules and the PeopleSoft meta data tables which need to be referenced to ensure data integrity,

and definition of data validation rules; allows data conversion teams to concentrate on data transformation activities;
allows capture of meta data of validation logic, while also facilitating reuse of developed business rules; and
supports the development of a solution that operates on varied platforms ranging from MVS and Unix to Windows NT.<BR>

The Data Validation Utility has been built using Daman's proprietary Business Rules Management System (BRMS) technology
to store and manage all the data validation rules. The rules can be accessed by 3GL (C, C++, COBOL, Java, and others)
or 4GL (perl, FOCUS, and others) programs running on any platform. This unique and revolutionary solution provides
significant flexibility in supporting data conversions to PeopleSoft on any platform and any database.</FONT></P>
